Fosters provide temporary homes that let us respond to more surrenders and emergencies. Every foster expands our rescue’s reach and gives stressed animals the calm space they need to recover.

❓ Foster FAQ
Do I need prior axolotl experience?
Not necessarily — we can train you, as long as you’re willing to learn. Enthusiasm and reliability matter most!
What if I can’t keep the axolotl long-term?
That’s the point! Fostering is temporary, and we’ll handle adoption placement—though we’ll ask for your help during the screening process.
Can I adopt my foster?
Yes, foster-to-adopt is possible if it’s the right fit, however there are policies in place and there is no guarantee you will be able to adopt your foster.

Daily feeding and water checks
A safe, stable environment free from hazards
Regular updates and photos so we can track progress
Flexibility: fosters may last 2 weeks to 3 months
